HOW TO ORDER

• Your name and contact information
• Is it for pick-up or delivery?
• Recipient's name

• Recipient's exact address including Unit, Floor or Buzzer number (if applicable), and Postal Code
• The business name for delivery to a workplace
• A brief personalized card message
• Payment information (We accept all major credit cards including Visa debit)
• Delivery/pick-up date

Our online minimum budget for delivery service is $50 before delivery and taxes. For phone orders the minimum order is $65.

We are Toronto's only eco-friendly Florist. We focus on locally-grown, Organic and Fair Trade flowers and plants. We do everything we can to reduce and eliminate any negative impact we may have on people and the environment.

Our inventory changes frequently, and special orders may be made for specific items. As a full-service shop, we provide delivery service throughout Toronto (click here for rates). Large quantity orders should be given ample time to fill. It is best to call or email with any large orders. Larger quantity orders are subject to custom delivery charges based on the size, complexity, time, and distance.

As experienced designers, we would never create a piece that we wouldn't want to receive ourselves. We appreciate when our customers trust our creative expertise. We reserve the right to modify an order and retain creative control. 

A few things that will help us customize your order: 

• Colour is the most important design element that we focus on. We can design with certain colours in mind, or colour descriptors like monochromatic, neutral, bright, seasonal, jewel tones, etc. 
• Would you prefer us to include or omit fragrant flowers?
• The occasion (birthday, sympathy, just because, etc.) will also inform our design decisions.
• We don't generally design by flower type due to seasonality and the way we source our flowers. If you would like a specific flower included or omitted let us know. We'll do our best to accommodate your request. 

Terms of Service

Delivery Areas & Times

• We deliver throughout The City of Toronto and the GTA at rates starting from $12.
• The cut-off for same-day delivery orders is 11:00AM local time. Same-day delivery orders are available to order online from midnight to 11:00AM. In some circumstances we can accommodate rush orders and late same-day orders for double the posted delivery charge. Call 416-214-6479 to enquire.
• Delivery in the morning is available for Toronto (M Postal Codes) in some circumstances for double the posted delivery charge. Call to set-up and confirm.
• For deliveries around major holidays or long weekends, we suggest placing your order several days in advance to ensure timely delivery is possible.
• There are no deliveries on Sundays but pickups are available.
• Order pickup is available 7 days a week. The cut-off for same-day pickup orders is 4:30PM local time. Same-day pickup orders are available to order online from midnight to 4:30PM. In some circumstances we can accommodate late pickup orders, call 416-214-6479 to enquire. Allow 1 hour from the time of order for us to prepare your pickup. For 10AM pickup, order by 5PM the previous day.

Delivery Fees

• Delivery rates are based on the first three digits of the postal code. Rates on this page are approximate. For an accurate delivery rate for a specific postal code use the delivery calculator in the shopping cart. Some exceptions apply.
• ecostems does not offer free delivery. We keep our delivery pricing transparent and fair: there are no hidden fees. Each delivery order is filled to the budget provided by the customer before the delivery service charge is added.
• Large quantity orders, including weddings and events, are subject to custom delivery charges based on size, complexity, time, and distance. Email info@ecostems.ca to inquire.
• We reserve the right to limit, change or suspend our delivery service due to any unforeseen circumstances such as weather, time, traffic, availability, volume etc. Large quantity orders require ample time to fill, so it is best to call or email with any large orders.

Hospitals & Funeral Homes

• Hospital deliveries require more information than a regular order, including the name of the Hospital, ward, floor, and room numbers.
• Patients in Intensive Care and some other wards may not be able to receive flowers. It is always wise to check with the hospital before placing your order.
• Funeral arrangements also require some advance notice. Please let us know the time of the service so we can ensure delivery before that time.
• For births, injury, illnesses and deaths, sending flowers to the home is sometimes more appropriate.

Eco-Friendly Delivery

• Whenever possible, deliveries in our local area are completed on foot or with our electric car. A delivery service is used for other deliveries when it's not possible for us to do them ourselves.
• Deliveries are grouped by neighbourhood for efficiency and to minimize the number of trips. This is one of the reasons we require some flexibility with delivery times.

Delivery Recipients

• It is important to choose a date and time that your recipient will be able to receive their gift. If the recipient is not at home we will leave the gift at their door if possible.
• Once delivery is attempted, if nobody is home and we are unable to leave the gift at the door (for reasons like excessive cold, heat, location, etc.), it will be returned to the shop for pick-up or redelivery. We require a delivery fee for every delivery attempt.
• We endeavour to make our deliveries efficient and complete on the first attempt. We hate to bring a missed delivery back to the shop. We charge for every delivery attempt because we need to ensure any inefficient use of resources is transferred to the responsible party.
• If you are not sure if the recipient will be able to receive the gift, we are more than happy to call ahead and arrange a time with the recipient. Let us know if you wish for us to call ahead.
• We do not keep orders anonymous. If the recipient requests, we will provide the sender's name.

Return/Cancellation Policy

We endeavour to use only the freshest, highest quality local, fair-trade and organic blooms and potted plants in our botanical creations. Because flowers and plants are a perishable natural product, all sales are final. If you need to cancel an order, and it has not been prepared, we can hold the value as an in store credit towards your next order. Please note that we are unable to cancel orders that have been prepared or have been dispatched to our delivery driver. Cancelled orders cannot be refunded.

If you are not satisfied with the quality of your order please let us know as soon as possible. We may be able to replace flowers if notified within 24 hours, or address any problems with a potted plant if notified within 7 days.

Workshops are final sale. If you are unable to make your selected workshop date let us know 7 days before you are to attend and we will do our best to reassign you to a different workshop date. Fees may apply.

Some flower and plant products may be harmful or poisonous to people or pets if ingested. If you require more information before placing an order, please let us know in advance.

Substitution Policy

Fresh Flowers: Because of the seasonality and regional availability of flowers, our selection changes from week to week. Our best blooms from all four seasons are on show throughout our product pictures, these images are typically representative of the higher price points we offer. We are not a cookie cutter florist, we try to make every arrangement an original! We will make every effort to maintain the "look and feel" of the design by considering the overall shape, size, style, and colour combinations. We do not recreate the pictures exactly as you see them. In most cases we are not able to promise specific flowers unless they are in season. In single-variety seasonal arrangements, the variety will take precedence over colour. For instance, if an order is for yellow Dahlias, we will substitute another colour of Dahlias, not another yellow flower. We reserve the right to substitute with a product of equal or greater value, likeness and quality without notice. If we are unable to fill all or part of your order, we will notify you as soon as possible.

Plants: All product images and examples on ecostems.ca are shown as a guide. All sizing/measurements provided are approximate and are not exact. For green and blooming plants, similar plants may be substituted of equal or greater value. For one-of-a-kind plants, such as orchids, we will make every attempt to match the plant type, but may substitute with another colour or variety. Decorative containers for plants will be chosen to suit the plant by our designers if a decorative container note is absent. If major substitutions are necessary, they will be made in conjunction with the customer.

Gift Baskets:  Substitutions within a basket may be made with items of greater or equal value if necessary to guarantee freshness and timely delivery.

Substitutions for Special Occasions:  Due to the importance of timely delivery of orders for special occasions, such as funerals, birthdays, and anniversaries, we may make a substitution of equal or greater value to ensure timely delivery. We will always attempt to contact you through the phone number or e-mail address provided, but may proceed with the substitution if we are unable to reach you.

Typographical Errors

If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, ecostems shall issue a credit to you in the original form of payment in the amount of the incorrect price.

Privacy Policy

You may visit our site anonymously. We collect information from you only when you register on the site, place an order, enter a contest or sweepstakes, respond to a survey or communication such as e-mail, or participate in another site feature. When ordering or registering, we may ask you for your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information or other information. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information.

We may use the information we collect: to personalize your site experience and to allow us to deliver the type of content and product offerings in which you are most interested; to allow us to better service you in responding to your customer service requests; to quickly process your transactions; and to administer a contest, promotion, survey or other site feature.

If you have opted-in to receive our e-newsletter,  we occasionally send out newsletters to update you on the latest news, products, special offers and events. When you place orders or access your personal information, we offer the use of a secure server.
